Peppermint Ice Cream


  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • pinch salt
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 T vanilla extract
  • 2 drops Young Living peppermint oil
  • 1/8 cup of cacao nibs


  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the milk, sugar and salt until the sugar dissolves.
  • Stir in the cream, peppermint oil and vanilla.
  • Cover and place in refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours or overnight.
  • Turn on your ice cream maker (we like our Cuisinart ICE-21model). Pour the mixture into the frozen freezer bowl and let mix until thickened, about 15-20 minutes. Add the cacao nibs and allow to mix an additional five minutes or until well blended.
